I have a long connection to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center my older brother Rob did his fellowship there I actually went into an operating room in 1978. My daughter my oldest of four in 2005 contracted lymphoma and was treated there for 26 months it was a brutal experience but happy ending she's now a doctor. The advances against cancer in the last five years are probably more than in the previous 40 years so I chair the board thereIt's the most fascinating rewarding professional experience I've had and I can't say enough good things about it. As an undergrad at Duke as an undergrad it was life-changing for me I've loved that he has been very involved at Duke for 17 years
