The Passenger by Rob McCarthy

The passenger is a novel that features a central character called Bobbie Weston, and he's something of a failed academic. So that begins mystery, but we're not entirely sure if it's ever completely solved. I have to say, I found this a very odd story and it led led me down loads of dead ends and rabbit holes. And yeah, I was hooked the whole way through the novel.
