For Three Transgressions of Israel and for Four, I Will Not Turn Away the Punishment Thereof
In verse 6, God says he will not turn away the punishment thereof because they sold the righteous for silver and the poor for a pair of shoes. Amos finds himself going to a nation where they are exploiting very people that they're there to take care of. The problem here is that the covenant people are not understanding their obligation to help take care of the people around them.
