The Battle of Rome

Vetelius attempted to abdicate, but was thwarted by his own supporters. He took up negotiations with Vespasian's brother Flavius Sabinus who was living in Rome at the time. The army of Antonius learned of the incident and made straight away for the city. But they were forced to make a last stand within the Praetorian camp.
