Is Nepotism a Meritocracy?

Felix: I think of Sam Bikman-Fried as a neppo baby because his parents are well known ethics professors at Stanford. He says that argument points to the fact that there is no meritocracy really. But he also thinks of the argument against nepotism as not just being about direct hires. Felix: Some people have a lot of privilege and it allows them to do fancy wealthy things themselves.
