Venezuelan immigrants have been granted a regular visa to work in Colombia. The move has had no adverse effects on the labor market of locals, says Dr Juan Carlos Gómez-Gonzalez. He adds that it is empowering Venezuelan women who now feel empowered to go to authorities and make claims.
