Docker Versus LXC Versus a VM?
Docker and Docker plus some virtualization is a, oh, I suppose in the cloud too. Most of that stuff's running in Docker too. My biggest gripe with LXC generally is that it's an extra layer of complexity not that many people are using. And if you start trying to run more than one service inside that container, so let's say system D plus a web server,. On the face of it, you're only running one service, but actually you're running two. The tooling around VMs is extremely mature at this point. They're very, very well understood.
