How to Communicate Your Good Intentions
When voicing a controversial opinion that's not widely shared in the room, you have to bend over backwards to say it in the best possible way. People will assume you have bad intentions if you are violating a conversational taboo. If you can use a synonym for a word that is lessno controversial or less likely to inflame, bring your politician's hato. All that is practical advice for how to be able to respect yourself by not self censoring and lying.
