The Importance of the Scope of Scripture
In paragraph five of chapter one, the scope of Scripture is presented to us as a property of Scripture. This is one of the things that we can see that helps us to see that the Scriptures are the Word of God. What is the theme of Joshua? The theme of Joshua is that God is faithful to his promises. And so the scope of the Book of Ruth is the faithfulness of God. So those are just two examples you think through how does the Bible present itself and how are we then to read it and understand it and apply it in our lives?
