In 2016, inspectors with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration found a plethora of safety violations in a meatpacking plant. Workers also told investigators stories about having to urinate on themselves at work so that they didn't leave the line during their shift. Many said they were wearing adult diapers in addition to avoiding drinking liquids just so they could keep up with their work. This was all happening in a working environment that was reportedly 40 degrees. In February, 2023, literally just a couple months ago, Tyson found itself in yet another federal investigation by the US Labor Department. The same company was employing children as young as 13 years old to work in one of the country's most dangerous environments.
