The Importance of Alignment to Strategy

When market conditions, and there's a, timing makes a big difference for the work that we do. We were doing some work in some areas that were getting us into some different day parts of where we normally play today. And so then we decided it wasn't stop the work, it was more pause the work and go put the resources somewhere else to when the opportunity was going to be easier for us to execute. Is there a tool that you use to try to help and look at how those things are lined? Like for example, I've used the business model canvas or kind of the product version of the link canvas.
