The Making of Confidential
In this chapter, they discuss the process of how the speaker became involved with the movie Confidential. They talk about their admiration for writer James Elroy and their experience meeting him at a book signing. They explain how they wanted to pitch their ideas for adapting Elroy's book, but initially faced resistance due to their background in horror and action movies. However, they eventually got a meeting with Curtis Hansen, who was already attached to the project, and were able to collaborate on the script.
