The book has a theory building natural experiment. It has rigorous statistical analysis, it has process trasing in three pared case comparisons and micro level evidence on within army variation. So there are so many different directions. I think we could go in talking about the empirics. But how bout we begin with project mars a. You tell us about, you know, this project and how you put it together? Absolutely. The book didn't work out likethat the data collecting took about seven years but what we did as we expanded out our coverage of belligerents and of wars, and then all these battlefield performance metrics - that's really the heart of project mars.
