The Cowards Suspend the Debt Ceiling

The reason they don't want to vote to raise the debt ceiling is because the number would be so huge. The suspension will run out during a lame duck session of Congress after we already have the results of the 2024 election. If they actually wanted to raise the ceiling by a large enough amount to get us through to that time, I think they need like a $5 trillion increase in the national debt. Nobody wants to vote for that. Can you imagine having to explain why you voted for the biggest increase in thenational debt in history? So rather than doing that, they just vote to suspend the ceiling and they never have to have the embarrassment of actually voting for a $5 trillions increase.
