The Complexity of Moral Judgment
When you published your results, there was a lot of press attention. Some of it had a kind of caricature of what the implications of this kind of research are. My response is, well, first of all, of course, morality is not just about serotonin levels or oxytocin levels and electrical impulses in the ventromedial prefrontal cortex. It's much more complex than that, of course. But I think that the implications ofthis work are rather hopeful, in fact. These sort of point to ways in which we could improve conflict resolution, for example.
