The Epidemiology of CTE
There is some evidence that women are more likely to suffer concussions than men. Women's risk of injury is almost half that of men's in rugby. In other sports, basketball in the US, soccer and even lacrosse, women's concussion rates are generally thought to be higher than men's. So overall, women are less likely to be injured but as a proportion of injuries, women are morelikely to have concussions.
