This really turns things on their head because I think the widespread assumption is that serotonin is the problem. Intention is the real answer and it's sort of a mystery how a treatment like CBT can get in there and affect the system. And so the tools of cognitive therapy are exquisitely well matched for the actual problem, whereas medication might be bridging to something without solving underneath.
