A Novel About a Woman and Her Husband Has Been Wrongfully Acquitted
This is the letter she writes when she says she can't be his wife. Much of the pressure that i experienced writing this novel was how to make all the characters sympathetic. The whole middle of the book are the letters they exchanged while he's in prison. I felt when i was writing this that celestial and me were in the same place. We were working so hard to be heard, understood, and hopefully avoid the wrath of being a woman who defies expectation.
