The Impact of Understaffed Governments
State and local governments are understaffed, when they don't have enough people to really do the job. The impact shows first in the employees who are there are being asked to do more. And then ultimately it's either overtime or denying vacation or deny leave requests. It just has a detrimental effect on people's faith in government.
