Introduction

There's a statement in recovery in the big book of AA, which is pretty interesting. It says self knowledge avails us nothing. Yet if you just changed the emphasis or the word of the emphasis or where the word stand and put knowledge of self, that has a completely different effect than self knowledge. So the knowledge can be beautiful. Just like when some people are introduced and let's say the dao, dao tae tching,. yet that knowledge will avail them nothing in a sense when it's being claimed by self. And hopefully that what happens quite a lot in satsang.
