The Power of Ecstasy

A good chunk of the major moments in the bible happen when a person is in an altered state. Peter here falls into an ecstasy trance. The disciples at jesus transfiguration have a vision of moses and elijah, who were dead, but who were alive in the vision. And then on the way down the mountain, the story teller tells you that peter had no idea what he was saying.
