The History of Open Top Tubs
Many old houses in the UK and Ireland still have an open top tub. The reason they say it's not potable makes sense because what else is in your attic besides max and water? Do you think your water glass is bad? Try to leave it in the attic. If you've got a bat hanging over that, that doesn't bat drop into it. You've got spiders falling and there you get dust. Pieces of insulation from the roof of your house,. like who knows because it's an open, there's nothing on the top of it.
