The River Lethy, the River of Unmindfulness

The ancient greeks had the idea that the underworld was right there below our feet, and you could fall into it at any moment. Feeling sad or press was considered falling into the underworld. So they had this kind of dynamic relationship to the underworld,. which i find really helpful, because in the modern world, you can fall right out of things when you find out about the latest tragedy. We're actually just trying to remember what we've forgotten.
