SpaceX's public display of their development gave investors a sense that, hey, it's okay to put money in here or for other companies like Peter Beck's rocket labs to come on. A huge chunk of this is just the modernization of technology. I mean, traditional aerospace really had been stuck. They nobody wanted to be the person that blew up a rocket because they changed some component on it trying to modernize it.
