The Theist's Response to Sceptical Theism

Sceptical theism is a very particular and obvious type of special pleading, trying to make virtue out of what is actually a deficit. It's an attempt to rescue god belief from our actual experience. Why not just reject the god hypothesis, which is incapable of squaring itself with what we experience? When we are faced with experiences that undercut theory that we believe explain those experiences, the correct move is to reject the explanation.
