The Different Faces of the Cherubim in Chapter 10
The plane reading of the Hebrew here points to four identical faces for each cherub with each cherub having a different set. While we cannot be sure how the ancients perceived true cherubic faces, some evidence suggests that they were not human. According to a seventh century BC Acadian text, Namtartu had the head of a kooriboo cherub but human hands and feet. It really doesn't make much difference if you use karuv in chapter 10 as opposed to the word for ox or bull, the Hebrew word is shohr, in chapter 1.
