Is It Possible to Have a Knowledge Lift Off?
'What matters when you have a knowledge lift off is knowledge. And knowledge can be captilated in many forms, often which can be vastly smaller,' he says. 'There's that sort of almost that conversion of the material into the virtual, that allows infinite possibility right right there.' He adds: 'Once you have a civilization that is capable of interstellar travel and extending down to the microscopic it's not obvious what they will think best'
