When I was working on Wall Street, we would build algorithms that would do price arbitrage. Early stage venture capital has so many data points that you actually cannot reasonably predict whether or not what you're looking at is going to be successful. So for instance, we have any time a person joins our firm, we have access to all of their LinkedIn data. That allows us to do an outbound deal sourcing strategy against that organized list.
