Samaritan wallet can't connect to your own full mode if the node is offline for some reason. It doesn't do what a lot of people I think think it does, so that's why I want to try and spread that awareness. If you're connecting to a SAMR wild server, they're providing all your balances. That's what the expop's are for. There is no privacy gained whatsoever.
