Meditation Is Not a Battle of Silence

The mind doesn't ever seem to calm down on its own. Imbedded within all those thoughts and feelings are little bits of our will, power, our volition. It's difficult because we have not attuned our consciousness to recognize its own nature. Looking to dissolve all those waves is only possible when we can spontaneously recognize them for what they are. There's no short cut to that knowledge, other than practice. Intellectually understanding it is just most superficial aspect.
