The Conflict Between Freedom and War
FDR said the freedoms are really one, but because we associate them with warfare, it splinters them in our minds into many. But the argument that underlies the defense of freedom is perfectly valid. So he's saying we should arguing on its behalf is valid because it is true. It should not be fought for, but it should be sided with those who are against freedom.
