Is It a Line Prosecutor?
The acting attorney general is supposed to follow the instructions of the U.S. attorney. But in some cases, a line prosecutor might just show up in court and not raise an argument. That's problematic because you are kind of forfeiting an argument, basically. The law actually contemplates that they will be able to make final decisions.
