CHAPTER

Is There a Universal Basic Income?

We could make more use of supported employment for disabled people and more use of job creation in the public sector for the unemployed. And i think it's that kind of system that a blurs the lines between those who pay and those who receive, where everyone gets something, everyone pays something,. That would be much more politically sustainable. I em if my job is to end the need for food banks then it would achieve that. But then also i do have to work within the art of the possible. There's interesting stuff happening at the moment though, to keep an eye on.
