The way of hi ku is to come unwrapped and thereby noticing what lies outside the self. A hiku poet has, on a regular basis, weekli or monthly readers for their poems that they are writing for. Ye, isolation, loneliness. That's an example of what you can pack into 17 syllables. Couple other quick ideas around hi ku that i wanted to hit on. You know, free verse poets write longer poems, typically work in isolation. They don't necessarily have readers for their poem until they publish them.
