The Importance of Test Scores in the Admissions Process
The 1% are overrepresented at an incredibly high rate. They score well on non-academic qualities like the way their recommendation letters are rated or things that are already on their resume. The surprise to me was in the test scores part because when the test scores, I thought advantaged the wealthy. But it turns out that test scores are kind of the most fair part of the admissions process for elite schools.
