Two days later the skies were clear and I left my room at the golden hour when the light turns the color of honey. Still I made it to the orchard and found the time traveler before the gold veneer dissipated into dusk. He sat in a fold-out chair next to a small round table. There was an empty chair across from his and two crystal tumblers half full of violet, lime and lavender gin that he soon learned was his favorite. The combination of flavors and the alcohol was stunning.
