The Supreme Court's Voting Rights Decision in Alabama
Thurgood Marshall graduated from Howard University School of Law in 1933. He founded the Legal Defense Fund, which is now a major civil rights group. LDF says it feels like a wonderful homecoming and an appropriate place to celebrate what I think is a landmark civil rights decision by the Supreme Court. A unanimous three-judge panel found that Alabama's maps illegally diluted the votes of black Alabamians.
