An article by Dr. Monica Goyal and her colleagues looked at race and our ethnic and socioeconomic disparities among COVID positivity infection rates as well as exposure for kids. They found that non-Hispanic Black and Hispanic children were more likely to have higher rates of positivity of COVID. And they did this geospatial coding where the DC metro mapped it by looking at median family income, which is a proxy for socioeconomic status. John: What we can walk away from this is what we typically find with guidelines that direct care for relatively rare outcomes. But if you have one risk factor, even just one, you probably should stop, do a pulse check on you as well as your patient
