Sophie warns against agitating your grudge. But holding grudges and tending to them can make you a more forgiving person. She also suggests a bit of balance through what she calls gratitude grudges. As often as we feel angry because of something someone's done, we're going to feel thrilled by something else that someone has done. So you've got to see the full picture.
Maybe you want to dismiss your grudges, like they’re petty incidents. Or maybe you hold them tightly, and wear them like badges of honor. Either way, we have them. And we’re taking the view that there’s more going on with our grudges than we think.
