Simeon, the Lord's Anointed
The holy spirit led simeon to the temple that day. And when the parents brought the child, jesus to do for him according to the custom of the law, which was to have him circumcised and to devote him to god. verse 26 says it had been revealed to him by the holy spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the lord christ. So simeon had the sense of anticipation like you and i have during this advent season tat we've been anticipating christmas too. He called it the coming of the messiah, the lord's anointed. That's what he was anticipating, which is the same thing we are and it says he came
