The 20 Years of AI

AI that is as smart as a human baby does not give you the butler that you can just flip a switch and wake up. You're still at least 20 years of, you know, training away from your Butler. What science fiction usually wants from AI from these conscious machines is actually not exactly a butler but a slave. They want someone who is competent and obedient and to whom we owe nothing. We want a robot that could treat like shit if you wanted.
