How to Live a Better Life
If you ask, how should we live, you need to break that down into at least two or three more smaller questions. You want to ask something like, what should the aims of my actions be? With respect to whom, should I be trying to achieve those aims? The value of doing this is it gives you a little bit more tractability, and it helps you look for better conversation partners. It's relatively rare that any person you're talking to or any text you're reading is somehow setting out a comprehensive vision of life all at once.
