I don't think Trump and Moon really got anything out of North Korea. The North Koreans could have done some small stuff with the DMZ to signal sort of goodwill that could have pulled back artillery, for example. But they didn't do it. And so the idea of a summit driven breakthrough, that policy option has not been disproven. If Obama did it and it failed, I think there would be a much sharper move to the right. It's very clear that Moon Jae-in had absorbed that narrative because you don't hear this in the list. This is really what you hear what we were doing in the Moon period.
