Native American Studies at the University Level?
In a tangible way at the university, you may see a few Native American studies courses. Some institutions that we're talking about do not have American Indian Studies or Native American Studies even though there are ethnic studies departments. So therefore, you're only learning about Native Indigenous communities in the past tense and not in the present tense. We can tie in the historical legacies into the present tense, but a lot of times that part is missing.
