Virginia's Disappearance in July 1948

Virginia Carpenter disappeared in July 1948. Her mother was convinced that she was no longer alive but still felt determined to find her body and her killer. In August 1949 authorities obtained a search warrant for Zachary's property. The remains were sent off for analysis and an expert confirmed that the bones were canine, not human.
