What It Means to Be a Senior Staff Engineer at Shopify
In your keynote, you were able to reference other people's talks. I was actually watching a talk that Alex Tarasa also at Shopify gave at RubyConf. So I feel like in the industry, through senior engineer, we generally have a good idea of as you build your developer skills, you eventually progress to be a senior engineer. The way I look at the track beyond that is it is a shift in type of job. It is no longer sufficient to be somebody who can sit down and write really amazing code,. You start to take on leadership's abilities.
