He represents himself as a man of the people who has been maltreated by this liberal cosmopolitan elite. He points to this elite as really the reason why India has not progressed. This elite in his view has been busy pampering minorities, most prominently Muslims. It's indulged in what he calls pseudo secularism. And this is the time now to overthrow them and banish their influence from every major national institution.
