The Influence of Paradigms on Culture

I don't think you have to be hegemonic in the idea of a worldview or a particular singlegeist. We tend to work with certain kind of base assumptions about how the world works. And I would say I see paradigms in their diffusion, and so I think that's where we share certain things. So for instance, you can look at the novels that were influenced by, you know, reading Foucault and Derrida - they all share certain kinds of axiomatic orientations. But it is very possible to expand the scope of influence of paradigms into culture more broadly.
