Is the U. N Going to Hibernate on Politics, Security and Human Rights?

i worry that the political gridlock and the gridlock around security issues is so great. It's hard to see a reflow of political authority to the u. N in this divided world. I feel rather different about the washington international financial institutions, partly because they've always been seen as more technical. But i think there may be a slim path, a thin path, precarious one, in which it may be possible to start laying out an ambitious economic reform agende for these institutions.
