You need to find a personal trainer who you enjoy being with and will hold you accountable. I think Peloton is great for people just like you who aren't really that jazzed about working out but want to be entertained there are some really hard workouts in there so don't do the intense stuff. If you're walking and you're hobbling through intense pain don't do that that's not fun. What's going to get you out of pain if you're weak or have bad problems? You need to strength train your body.
